I purchased a Jepe 354 (Fution, now Foton) a couple months ago and have had several problems with it. Talked with the dealer and mechanic and nothing seems to be happening. For the most part the tractor is very strong and well made. I know there are a few things you have to deal with on your own, but I feel the Dealer, Tractor mechanic should be able to explain, or fix a few things and or provide parts. Here is my email to him as a last resort.
"Hey XXXX, must be a problem with my emails, I never seem to get an answer from you or the parts department about the parts or problems with the tractor. Really thought this was the right choice in tractors, but the after sale support seems to be a problem. Still need the correct boot to keep water from getting into the transmission. I don't mean to be a pain in the aXX, but I think a dealer (tractor mechanic) should have answers to common after sale questions, support and parts. I can't even get a straight answer as to where the hydraulic filter is or seem to get the parts department to reply to my email as to a replacement filter cost. I would hope that if I were to spend the money to have my tractor completely serviced, the mechanic would at least know where the filters were located, and all the proper drain locations. After speaking with the mechanic, ( who's probably really great to party with, and that only) about my white smoke and lack of power problem, told me he never heard of an injecter pump oil level, how to check or what kind to put in, I realized his expertise is limited to trial and error, (replace parts and hope it fixes the problem) mechanics. This happend before and it was the compression release lever at fault, ( I found myself). We went over several other things to try and solve the problem, most from a had that problem before, replaced this and found out it was something else. The pump was dry, or very low, and upon filling, did indeed fix the problem. I also went over the problem with the radiator not being full, the radiator hose being loose, alternator belt and alternator bolts being loose, about 1 1/2 qts oil to much in engine, and did not grease the water pump, he said some had that and some did not (shouldn't he check). Told me he went over my tractor himself with a fine toothe comb and all was well. He also went on to tell me how my backhoe would not be in the shape it is in, if it were not for the incompetent staff that replaced him for a period of time (not sure what went on) and you had some idots that put my tractor and the backhoe together. Went on to tell me how you (XXXX) get the money and don't follow up on after market service. Well, I'm getting way to piXXed off to continue, but if I had an employee (sorry if he's your kin, or friend) I would can his aXX so fast he would think he's surrounded. You need a real diesel, hydraulic mechanic, not a (Dude, lets try this) person. Your loosing business man, or going to in the long run. Is there another Fution (Foton now) dealer, where I can get parts on my own, heXX, make me a Jepe dealer with the parts connections and I will sell and service them myself. Later, Stu
PS. Had a couple drinks too many, had to vent, don't really expect to hear from you anyway, but I had to try one more time before moving this further. "
Am I off base with this email?
