Similar but different... it was reacting to my meals but when checked against a blood test not worth a dam. 2 yrs later it's still sitting on my desk. Wait, there, it went in the trash.

There was a company decades ago that tried to use an electrical current to draw out the liquid between cells to the skin surface to provide a sample glucose testing. It worked, but the time it took to get glucose from the blood into the tissue to the surface of the skin was a several hour delay. Yes, it, too, went out of business.

Interesting. The CGMs are looking at the intra cellular BG unlike the finger pricks. The instructions suggest the accuracy of the CGMs is almost as good as the finger prick, but says the readings may be about 15minutes delayed to the finger prick.

Yes, the accurate and timely sampling was (is) one of the important items that had to work for CGMs to function and for them to be approved. The electro-osmotic extraction method was not direct enough nor fast enough to be accurate.

I think that the bar for the regulatory approval for glucose monitors is pretty high in the grand scheme of things, just behind pacemakers and a few other life support items, and that is because glucose levels are life critical for diabetics. The FDA in my experience most certainly understands this.

good thing I like avocados

I love pizza but usually avoid it because it is rarely healthy food

I'll use the Lilly's brand, but the program that I'm on actually says 90% dark is fine. Just watch the quantity. I actually like the 90% now. I often have it with coconut oil. Tastebuds certainly change.

My last a1c was 6.5 but historically it goes from 6.0 to 6.7. Doc was happy with all my labs.
