50 is low, to low.
Yes, my doctor says otherwise. Everyone is different. I fell COMPLETELY fine when both my CGM and blood strip has measured 50. I could get my BG to drop significantly at one time when I exercised, EIH. During the night, I learned to turn off the app for the CGM. I also found / heard that if you sleep on the CGM, it would cause low readings.

Id like to see a "normal persons" daily charting with a CGM. One of the docs told me spiking is normal, but couldnt tell me spiking to what # is acceptable?
what do normal peoples spike too? 150? 175? 200? or is theirs more of a flat stable line across. I can hit a 175 spike from say 85, and withen 2 hours its back down to 100.
Now, if i eat breads or sweets.it may take 3 hours to come back down to 110.
Everyone shoots for different targets. The more insulin resistant you get, the more insulin it will take to get that BG down. It will often take longer to bring it down. Since going low-carb, I never am above 120. I did a few test when I was wearing a CGM and saw a springle cookie put me at 180 for about 30 minutes.

yes, it sounds off below 60 or above 150. if it wasnt for the CGM id never know when I was low or high. When I was over 600 in hospital they asked me 100 times how i felt. It felt just like any other day to me. No headaches, vision problems, lightheaded etc.
My glucose went to 585 on a weekend in Jan 21. Felt like crap, wife begging me to go to ER. Had been losing weight and in bathroom lots so thought it could be diabetes. Went to walmart and bought meter. 585!, went to doctor on monday and doc said I would put you in hospital if not full of covid. Started me on 2000mg metformin and Toujeo insulin that day.

I was constantly in bathroom and one of old guys i hunted with who was type 2 said boy your sugar is high. So he went got his tester and it read off the charts so it was over 600. Went to doc in box to confirm and they said same thing. Higher than 600.
they wanted to call ambulance and take me to hospital. I declined and went home and went to a Er closer to home where they admitted me for 2 days.
The prescribed insulin which the pharmacy didnt get any of until about 8 days after released. Id already gotten CGm the 2nd day and was watching it and my #'s were staying down. So I still havent taken any insulin yet and that was about 5 months ago now.
Im just paying attention to what I can and cant eat to keep numbers down and hopefully not have to start using the shots for a few years.

Never should your graph look like this. While this extreme doesn’t happen like this much anymore I see 400’s on a regular basis. double ups are very common if not every day. Double downs have lessened. No not my graph but someone close. It’s very common to be in the basement and level off at 250-350. I can talk about this all day. To show the extreme this has gone to I finally got it into the court system. Talk about fun.
