I've got 350 hrs on my DF-354 and today i lost reverse gear. I haven't got in it yet, but it could be the gear or the fork inside the gearbox. I bought this from an independent dealer and he is gone. Where can i find parts. I'm in AL any help ???

No it's not

I would immediately take off the top cover of the transmission to be sure that it is not caused by the problem that caused my loss of 3rd gear. A bolt dropped from the cover plate into the transmission.

Chip is your man then. I might have been able to help had it been a shuttle, mine does that if I don't keep an eye on the lever height adjustment.

Before calling Chip though, you should remove the cover for a looksee. The answer might already be staring you in the face.

Once you find out what it is, we shoudl have the parts in stock. Does it feel like it shifted into rev OK but just wont move or dose the shifter itself feed wrong?. Unfortunately (well really, fortunately) we have not had any transmission issues so our troubleshooting expereince is still very limited on the DF tractors, but we did buy lots of internals, including gears and forks.

After taking the inspection plate off, the bolt came out of the end of the reverse shaft. I fished it out of the bottom of the case and the retaining plate and all was still intact. The threads were bummed up a little so i replaced it and it's running fine . Thanks to all, for your input and help, Larry
