It’s a tech constantly evolving .
You can put all the power you want into a battery but if the innards of a tool have been cheapened down to arrive at a price point, that tool becomes more expensive to possess in the long run.
Power capacities or pricing for that matter, are not the only measure of tool efficacy in my mind.
Long lasting and durability and customer service is what I like about mine , I really could care less if a new tool puts out 100 more ft pounds since I have never competed in any style of tool competition in the 10+ years that I have owned them.

Watch the Father's Day/Black Friday/Etc sales for some decent battery deals. Also for the buy a battery and charger and get a "free" tool offers.

I have an air compressor on my Ram and an air hammer. Too much of a PITA to put together unless it’s an impossibly tough job. I use air compressor for blowing out radiators more than anything

My issue with DeWalt is the replacement battery cost and I have just one hammer drill.
It is often times cheaper to buy a tool combo, battery and charger.
The batteries last for quite a long time and the cost is made up in production speed along with convenience of getting a job done when you want it done.

Now ink jet printers are another story.
$99 for the printer and $55 for the 4 replacement ink cartridges multiplied how many times you needed to buy ink over the years.

From the answers you are giving in here, you prefer air alright, it's obviously HOT air! lol

I still love the guy.
Cantankerousness is something I gravitate toward as long as when it happens I can call the guy names and everybody still appreciates one another afterward.

Some fasteners just aren't coming off without an impact wrench.

The problem with ink jets isn't just the price of cartridges, but the problem of ink clogs that ruin the printer. Laser printers have been much much less problematic for me.

Well it finally arrived!
I'm surprised they don't have a side handle for it.
Now to find something I can test it out on!
It's a lot heavier than the 1/4" I got with the drill kit.

Mine came this morning, just under 8lbs with battery supplied, naturally it’s pouring rain this mornin, so I can’t try it on the trailer, dually, and mainly my Ford backhoe.
