Deutz Allis 5230

Hi all,

I have the opportunity to buy a DA 5230 with loader and MMM. It has 1900 hrs and appears to be in good shape. I have very little experience with these machines, can anyone tell me more about them? What would you pay? Are they reliable?

I'd pay nothing more than 4K. Check for head gasket leaks. If any head leak is internal, check coolant overflow bottle status (either empty or low is no good) and check to see if there is any "bubbling" in radiator after warm up. Water seepage in engine crank case will cause discoloration (filmy grey stuff on dip stick) and increased oil levels.

Thanks for the info Arrow. He was asking a little more than I would pay for it, so I think I'm going to pass. After test driving it and operating it a little bit, I am open to these in the future, but only for the right price.
