Does anyone know how to determine age on the small Yanmar tractors? It's not critical as the machine appears to be in good shape with a little over 600 hours showing (1600?). There is no obvious wear, no smoke, no leaks, etc. All the same, I'm curious how old the unit is. One site shows they were built from 1975-1979.

It is a Yanmar 1500. Frame/gear #15590. Engine serial #2TR15-21235

That may be as close as you are going to get. It has been said that the month/year of the wheel mfg. is stamped in the wheels, but I have never found it on mine.
