Has this ever happened to you or anyone you know before? Bought B2910 tractor in March has 28hrs, upon receiving tractor I took the front end loader off so I could mow. Recently I put front end loader back on, with no problems, was working front end loader, put downward pressure on front end loader, the tires came off the ground, let it down heard a crunch and the hood had a crease in it. The local dealer has told me it's not his problem, and refuses to look at it, I think it should be covered under warranty. What do you think?? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I just have to ask. Your hood received those dents when you raised and lowered your front wheels with your loader? Somethings very wrong with that. My front wheels spend a lot of time off the ground. About the only way I could see that happening would be if your frame had a tremendous amount of flex in it..... like broken. Even then, I don't see how creases like that could be caused by your front wheels coming off the ground.

We (or at least I) would need more information and/or pictures. So far I just haven't been able to imagine how that could have happened. I had a B2710 with FEL and never had a problem. Did some part of the FEL hit it, or did it just buckle? Have you checked the subframe for the FEL? Did you have something in the bucket? Did something hit the front of the hood? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Thanks for the response. No part of the fel hit the hood, its impossible, did not have anything in the bucket, nor have I used the bucket. I thought the same, that the frame had to be cracked to get that kind of flex, but I could not see anything that would indicate a crack. I would like the dealer to double check the fel frame nuts and bolts, because when the tractor was delivered the roll bar was really loose. Here are some more pics.

Viper,
If those dents were caused by simply raising your front end off the ground, there has to be some serious structural problems with your tractor. There has to be evidence of movement elsewhere on the chassis. Have you inspected the underside of your tractor thoroughly? Other than that, could those dents have happened earlier and you weren't aware of them? Could somebody else have opened your hood and pushed hard against the stops? I had a friend of mine dent the hood on an old Datsun that way.

Yes, the loader was pinned on. Here is another pic.

I have traced my steps back and redone everything over, and I do not see any flex in the frame at all. But I have noticed a large gap between the hood and side panels. To scared to get it fixed afraid of it happening again. I have priced a new hood and my dealer wants $277 and a bodyshop wants $155. Here is another pic

Those dents look like the rear top brace hit the hood during installation.

When you blow it up, it looks like a dent from the cross bar.
