Don't believe I care to try that. Did not see a really big air mattress under it.

(I thought there was a second part to my post, but something happened. ) While it is great that this fine piece of equipment can do this, there are so many "single point of failure" issues I can't see that it was allowed by corp safety.

This will NOT be on my 'must do' list.

I think I saw this on utube as a movie. My thought then was it is a toy.
My second though was it was RC. My third thought was how much was that guy getting paid. My forth thought was at least he has a job. My fifth thought was I would starve first.

scaryideas | Excavator climbing a tower[/url]

It came from here...;)

If you go to that link, DO NOT take the dumb test on that page. If you do, you pass it and are really dumb because it will start out by charging 30 minutes of use to your cell phone and enroll you in a service that automatically charges you many more minutes and is very hard to find out how to cancel. This is worse than many viruses.

I wish the moderators would remove this link or post to prevent it from happening to anyone else. I erased the link from my thread.

link what link? if you use Firefox 3 with AD Block Plus such links never show up, neither do annoying banner ads, or popups.
back on topic, that excavator looks like the boom was made for this, it has one ram for the first boom and 2 rams for the bucket/flat plate

Obviously it was a gear transmission to keep the excevator from slipping off the tower when the boom when to a new "hand hold".:D:D:D:D:D

HST would have just slipped.:D:D:D:D:D:D

Sorry I could not resist.

The operator is OUT OF HIS MIND.

Pretty neat though.

Dan
