Ford 3610 Tractor Safety Switch Problem

Hello,
I have a Ford 3610 tractor, and for a long time, the safety override switch had been bypassed. I wanted to reactivate it, so I performed all the necessary checks. The cables and the switch are all in good condition. However, when I install the switch into its socket, there is no response at all. As I mentioned, the switch doesn’t work when it’s in its housing, but everything functions as it should when it’s outside. If anyone has experienced this issue before or knows a solution, I would greatly appreciate your assistance. I’m suspicious of the switch socket I marked in the attached image.

Disconnect the wires from the safety switch. Connect an ohmmeter instead. Check the resistance - zero or infinite. Operate the equipment to activate the switch. Does the resistance change? If not the problem is not the switch. It's possibly plunger activated and you may not have enough length on whatever activates it. Perhaps it's an adjustment.
