About a year and a month ago I bought a Midea "Cube" 50 Pint Dehumidifier in Virginia for use in the basement of our Mississippi home where the humidity gets high in the summer. Hooked it up, ran it for about a week in Virginia as a test, worked well, reboxed it. Expected to bring it down to Ms, but life got in the way. Nice little dehumidifier, has a pump etc. and very portable.
Finally got it down here, hooked it up and it immediately threw an E6 error code which indicated a problem reading temperature. And wouldn't even power up fully
Looking online it was probably either an open or short circuit of room evaporator temperature sensor or a problem with the circuit board. So either replace the sensor or the circuit board.
I didn't want that cost ($$$) and the Midea "help line" was of no use (out of warranty by a month).
So I started playing with the buttons and found if I set it for NO BUCKET mode it would power on fully and work..
It seemed to work overnight and removed about a gallon of water.
