DEF

Big Class 8 diesels use the same DEF as your pickup or tractor uses and most big trucks get theirs at the fuel pump in a different nozzle, no brand name associated with it. DEF is DEF. Me, if I had to use it, I'd but the least expensive I could get, all the same.

Like I said, makes good fertilizer.

My bad, I meant to say No NEW pipelines. And no new refineries, although some have increased capacity, it's still not enough.

5 refineries have been built since 2014, the newest opening in 2019.

Plus existing refineries are constantly adding new capacity and upgrades.

I kinda wish people would look into this stuff a little further on their own.

We really don't need the environmentalists to
keep interfering and causing problems but then
what you have in congress are too stupid to
know if its good for the people or not because
too many of them are for their pockets to be filled.

It appears to me that in this country, putting the word 'Premium' in front of anything just entails a price increase. DEF is DEF, Urea in solution with Dionized water. Nothing more and no additives either. It does have a shelf life however and in the past, I've purchased off date DEF to spray on my hayfields as a foiliar application. Works good too. Smells like cat pee however. None of my tractors or vehicles require it. I'm 100% good with that.
The DEF I buy has virtually no smell.

I buy AC/Delco DEF at the dealership. No supply issues.

Maybe you have smeller issues then. Urea in solution always has a faint odor of cat urine. Actually, so does clay coated prills that I use. Once broadcast on the ground and dissolving, if you get down close to the ground, you can detect it. Of course then maybe the dated stuff I get stinks more, not sure.

You know, I was gonna post some snarky comment, then I thought that something serious would be better, but then I realized there would be no point. It's just too bad that for some reason you can't see how much better our environment is compared to fifty years ago. How much longer we are living. How so many less children aren't suffering from permanent brain damage because they are not being exposed to lead in the air and in their drinking water. The list just goes on and on. And our better environment is largely because of environmentalists. And our better environment will help millions of people live longer and better lives.

I’d like to agree with you, but lifespan has actually decreased in some communities and ethnicities. Fertility rates have dropped DRAMATICALLY.
Families are being crushed. Fentanyl is killing people at alarming rates. Mental illness seems to be all around us.
One common theme I see to all the above is people are losing the minds, their lives and their fertility to all the stress of living in this dystopian, 24/7 horrible news cycle of a world we now live in.
Enough of the “we will all die in 10 years”. Enough of the race baiting. Enough of the lying and scandal on the social media.
You can have your perfect environment, but if it comes at this price it’s ruining the human race as bad as the pollution.

What happened to our Freon 12 not a thing
wrong with it but they had an instant replace-
ment for it so you know somebody made a
pile of money on that crooked deal. Now they
changed it again just cost tax payers more
money as the shops have to get new equipment
to work on the new type Freon. The gov really
don't have the people in mind when they allow
things like this to happen. Environmentalists had
had something to do with this???? Just like the
so called safety cans I spill more fuel with them
that I did with the great old fashion ones. I have
some kerosene jugs that I will paint yellow for some
diesel fuel containers. Maybe the environmentalists
did some good but think they did a lot more damage

I agree with you in part. If you buy lab grade chemicals they cost more than the same chemicals at the hardware store because you are paying for known quality, concentrations, and quantities of the contents.

If you buy DEF made to the ISO 22241 standard by a reputable vendor with a certified lab, then you know what you are getting.

If you buy no-name urea and add it to your tap water then you don't really know what's in there.

That's why I wouldn't buy mystery discount DEF fluid from a Chinese based amazon vendor. Or cough medicine. Or baby formula.
