I disagree.

All mechanically-coupled, direct engine-driven alternator heads produce a true sine wave AC output waveform. In fact, it would be tough to design such a direct driven alternator head to produce anything else. It appears the OP's generator is a mechanically-coupled direct engine driven alternator.

Sine wave in theory. Most small generators produce power with 5-8% harmonic distortion. This is due to the design and materials used. As a result the output is not quite a clean sine wave. Fine for nearly all loads, but not quite a "true" sine wave.

When I first saw the heading for this thread, I thought maybe Deere was making a "Generator" model 30W amp Maybe some direct competition to Marshall and Fender amps...

Must be an amp for the Country market, for those guys playing lead on that "John Deere Green" song

Looks like a nice unit, would recommend that you looking into a transfer switch for your main electrical box.

We put one on our 200 amp Square D service box and when we lose power it is a simple push switch that locks out the incoming service and transfers to our generator input. We ran the cable to the back of the house for safe operation of the generator outside!

At the same time we put a lamp on the public service side of the box so we would know it the light is on the power is back.

What we have is a push bar system that installed directly into the panel and requires turning off the main breaker before you can switch to the generator input. This permits using all of the breakers inside the box and ensures no voltage is going out onto the public service side o tthings.

A few years ago we were out of power for about four days and the last day we ran the generator for nearly four hours before someone called to tell me the service was back up. What we run into living in the country!

Wayne thank you for takeing the time to post/reply back. Good info and advise given no doubt but I will be using genny in remote location with a travel trailer.
