Deere 970 Head Gasket

Glad you got it. If you didn’t buy it I was thinking about getting it and I don’t even have a 970! Please report back and let us know whether it has the 83.7 mm bore. Your experience with the Yanmar folks makes me wonder if some of the later OEM gaskets used the 86.2 mm bore.

The head gasket from Deere fit perfectly with the 83.7 bore just like the old gasket had.
The little engine runs like a sewing machine now.
Thanks for all the help. I'll get some pics uploaded to show progress as I restore this little jewel.
Next comes the new radiator!!!!!

Good deal! I have only worked on the 50 series so I’ll be interested to hear about your 970.
