Cab version ONLY avaliable in EHYDRO. I WAS a PR fan but the AC and cab convinced me otherwise...and the ehydro is nice also

I also love and recommend the 400cx Self Leveling loader. I just set a new set of concrete steps in place tonite with the forks and it worked wonderfully!! It does have slightly limited rollback angle on the bucket up high but still worked great for most applications. I also do alot of pallet fork work unloading semi trailers of equipment. This was my main reason for the CX. I have had 2 other 4120's with 400x loaders and a 4500 with a 460 loader and numerous other tractors with loaders.

KB9UDE,
I think you will be very happy with the 4720/400CX combination and think the new home for it makes this a winning combination.

I hope to have my new shop completed in November too. Like the polebarn for equipment storage, how much cheaper than a metal building is it?

Not sure on cost of steel frame construction. This 64x40x18ft high sidewalls errected was about 30K. We are still working on the concrete and finishing the inside.

Last year I got a quote on a 90x30x14 equipment shed with lean to roof with metal roof and siding (26ga) on three sides leaving the higher long side open. Quote was $15,100 for the entire steel kit, may still go that route and use a packed gravel floor. Would consider adding doors after I get past the other costs. This will be after the new shop is completed in November, which will be a more deluxe building with epoxy finished concrete floor, hvac and restroom.

I wanted to mention with all the extra power of a 4720 you will really like the ehydro transmission. Once you get a little time on it and settle in you don't even think about the mechanics of direction change.

My first tractor that had ehydro was a 3320 and I hated it because it lacked power but the 66hp handles everything with no problem...I have not even needed to put the PTO in "regular" mode. The E-pto handles my mowers and tiller with no problems at all.

Nice rig.

What is that yellow knob on a rod thing on the back?

A pull type rod that selects the 540/540E pto, connects to a short lever on the side of the pto case.

New to the tractorbynet but have looked at pics on here off and on, as well as read post of the john deere 4000 that I could find. I came across your pics of the 4720 and load max trailer of which I am interested in buying both of the same make and model you have. Will take all the info you have on this tractor and trailer. I'm a Landscape contractor and would be using it for installs. One thing I have been trying to figure out is how tall both are on the trailer. Any help I'll take.:)

I use a BigTex 12PI 20' trailer to move my tractors around and it is much lower to the ground than the trailer shown. I have been using this for about 6 years now and have been very satisfied with it.

Not sure exactly how tall it is but it goes in and out of a 14ft door with no problems at all. Next time I go to the shop I can measure.

Well the mean reason is I live on the other side of a tunnel. I would need to drive it in and out with out taking it on and off the trailer every time. The tunnel is 11ft 2in.
