Buying Advice Deere 4010 (compact) loader mounts

I had my dealer quote loader mounts for my 4010 (410 loader) and it was a little over 600 bucks, does this sound right? Are there good places to look for used ones? I realize once they are on a tractor they usually stay with the tractor and/or loader. I don't own, but have access to a 410 loader. Thanks for any help.

Yeah, eBay is probably your best bet. A lot of dealers sell NOS (new old stock) there thats been sitting on the shelves for years.

I did not know they were your local dealer Kennyd. I wish my local dealer would do the same.
I bought some loader brackets from them that were on ebay. Plus a fuel tank guard, both with best offers accepted.

I saw them, none for the 4010 though.

Did the dealer give you part numbers for the mounts?
JDparts shows nine sets of mount brackets, but does not say which models they fit.

Finches had one set for 4000 series tractors, but did not list your model. Might be worth a gamble?

I built my mounts out of square tube and some flat stock. Fairly simple mount certainly not worth 600.

I was considering doing this. How thick walled is the tubing you used?

3/16" flat and tube stock. One afternoon - evening in the shop. Had to buy new longer metric bolts, just went to Deere dealer and picked them up. Had the steel, bolts were the expensive part, around two dollars a piece.
Going on three years and no problems.
