Tractor
LS U5030
I've now decided my next tractor will be a LS. The wife is even on board.
I'm either getting the R4047 for $22250, or the U5030 for $27500.
On all honesty, I know the 4047 will do everything I need, no problem. But, I really like the self-leveling bucket, larger fuel tank, of the 5030.
The dealer who has the 5030 said he'd load the tires for free at that price.

I've sat on the 5030, but not the 4047. Is the seating/control area about the same size?
Do you think the dealer has any negotiation room on either?

If you go with the U5030 note the height of the overhead exhaust, verse. the lower exhaust on the 4047 and the height of your garage door. That was the only thing that kept me from going larger. Don't know anything about seat differences I never sat on either till after I bought.

Where do you live at PatMcD? That's also a big factor in prizing.

Not sure about that part of the country. But I am selling my u5030s for $26,500. If that gives you an idea.

That helps, thanks. Dealer up here came down to $27,000 without loading the tires.

Been dubbin' around with it, moving snowbanks, transporting firewood, etc.. I really like it. Big step up in ease of use from the old Long 460 I've been using.

A few minor annoyances with it:

1. I wish you could start it without having to be on it pushing in the clutch.
2. The operator's manual translation from korean to English is really bad.
3. Every tractor needs a tool box. Why they don't include one is beyond me.

Other than that, I love it.
