Tractor
Kubota M6040
Hello everyone. This will be my first ever tractor buy. I'm leaning towards an LS U5030 but have the usual reservations I've been reading on some of the postings about a new brand and the value holding or part finding in case of a company flop. I own a large property that needs a lot of work, mostly cleaning it up. My other consideration is for a Kubota, but so far the best deal I can find is about $3,700 more than the blue tractor. I have some questions about the LS but I will post those in the LS forum. Glad to be here! LHM

:welcome: to TBN! LS has been around for quite a while. They manufactured Montana tractors for several years but parted ways. LS has also at one time built McCormick compact tractors and now manufactures some if not most New Holland compact tractors.

If you're worried about depreciation, then you could buy a slightly used one instead. Once you have a tractor I don't think you'll want to sell it. Maybe trade it in for a bigger one though! Tractors don't depreciate fast like cars, at least in my area. Parts are another issue. I went with JD so I would't have to worry about that.
