Anyone know where I can get a set of decals for a RS1400 tiller?
Also does anyone know the paint number so I can have some mixed for the green on YM1700?

Thanks
Eddie

I don't believe you will find a paint number for a gray market tractor.

I may just need to have it customed mixed at the automotive paint store where i buy paint.

My auto supply scans a piece of the original sheet metal and then mixes it so close it is nearly perfect. I have even went to Ace hardware and them scanned it and mixed some of their " Rust Stop " enamel and for touch up it works great. The best part is it costs $6 a quart and the auto supply paint is $45.

Kayssupply thats some good information. I went to a auto paint dealer and got 2 quarts of enamel yanmar red. and it cost me $56. I took in a panel that had some unfaded red on the underside. It matched thier color chart for "saftey red". It looks good though.

How about decals, I have an RS1400 I am restoring and decals seems to be the bigger problem

You might try Rust Oleum Spruce Green (its only available in spray cans) and Tractor supply places Massey Furgerson Red. I used this on many 1700's

I have bought Rust Oleum Spruce Green in 1 quart cans at OSH.

That Rust-Oleum Spruce Green and also Krylon Banner Red is a close match, and they are both at Wal-Mart in the 12 oz> spray cans.

Jim,
What is OSH.

By the way, what about the white color??

OSH is Orchard Supply & Hardware in California. They are owned by Sears. I use Rustoleum Ivory for the white color.

I use Rustoleum Almond. I think the number is 7770, but I'll try to take a look tonight.

I too like to use the spruce green color from wal mart. I get Massey Ferguson red from the farm store as well as IH white for the wheels etc. Has a nice creamy, off white color that matches well. You really hit the jackpot for help on this one!!

Greg is correct,
I use Rustoleum Almond (not Ivory) for the white color.
Just couldn't think straight yesterday. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
