Which is fine but can you expect everyone, especially someone new here to know that. I'm not saying it was said in a derogatory way, I'm just saying it could be misinterpreted. If read in the wrong context it'll just be magnified when others start calling names.

yes, why would ANYONE in todays world expect someone to be polite
Come on guys........

It is not just TBN members that see our profiles or have access to them, it is the whole internet...the world...don't you guys forget that...I will not be posting any specific info about me or my family on my profile beyond what I have...and if John Thomas or anyone else does not want to read my posts due to that...so be it..

This is a cruel world full of some very evil people....again, not on TBN necessarily but somewhere out there in the world wide web...I have to think of my family before anyone else...You guys post your whole life if that's your choice.

I think the thread got a litttle off topic, but I certainly agree about not adding too much info to any public post. Can you imagine some of these idiots on facebook? Everything from their hatsize to what size undies their girlfriend wears. I don't do facebook, but sometimes the wife brings one to my attention that she just can't pass up showing me. I guess today nothing is very sacred.

topic is specious, response useless, OP is likely enjoying the topic wanderings.

Even if the op seems not to be the sharpest knife in the drawer why does any board feel it's ok to name call? It seems a little childish. I expect more from tractor by net members, there's lost of forums with rude members. Let's keep TBN a good one! Imho

In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory,[2] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as a forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[3] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion

Not name calling at all. Merely a suspicion of intent. Which is my personal humble opinion about the original post topic.

You called him a troll (that's a label you assigned to him, some would even call it a name) and said he hadn't replied. Since then he did, not once but twice. The second reply he even answered some of our questions. He even added his location to his profile. Maybe he is a troll, but maybe he's not. Just sayin'.

The idea that a person posting the state they live in and their acreage and what equipment they own as being information that anyone other than other members of this forum would want to know or possibly being dangerous to themselves and/or their family is............well, I guess I'm speechless and that rarely happens. I never mentioned including life history and how providing information to the profile could progress to that level of info is .........well, again I'm speechless. If any of you don't want to tell the basic info then I say, don't ,and sleep better for it.

I understand your definition and thanks for posting it. You still labelled him. Its not really respectful. I guess he wasn't either. Let's just play nice and not throw sand. ;)

My point in stating "troll" was to alert members into the possibility and not get sucked into the great abyss. More than once have "new members" on their first post started controversial discussion to "stir the pot".

It is always interesting that the first post is about a controversial topic that no doubt would illicit an emotional response from the membership. In this example, 50 total posts and only2 are from the OP. The sixth reply (from another member) was the first asking for clarification. the next several came in what I consider normal type responses for something unclear. It wasn't till around post 14 that the OP states something about "not dignifying that with an answer" (wasn't clear to me who he was responding to).

So, now we are up to 50 posts. The discussion has wandered topic to topic and back again.

Final points:
Op made statements that generated responses he didn't like (as he indicated). No need to respond as he did, wasn't productive why didn't he just wait to see what useful info comes up. Its like openly asking a question in a bar. everyone might have something to say but you don't always respond to what you don't like to hear. You shouldn't be shocked or astonished that people have different opinions either. You don't ask this question and then go running out the door after the first person questions or responds negatively.

The Op clearly suggests that the dealership has committed acts from unethical to illegal- hence placing a label of "dishonest" on them. Is that fair? Even though he didn't mention the name, I see no difference. Some people are able to figure out who is being discussed.

I made my statement based on actions, not who he is. It is not "throwing sand".

Well, now the OP is going to punish us by taking his toys and going home.

Iwas called names by people who dont know me and called a liar and thief and slanderer. Seems even tho i didnt name the dealer and there are 5 within 40 miles of me . the site boys claimed everyone knew who i was talking about! I have contacted the CC about withdrawing payment until this is settled. I have to have new dealer write on letterhead what he found. So far, bugs and trash in oil, loose drain plugs, clutch seems ro be installed properly, checking brakes now to see (if like my 3 pt hitch ,backwards, and fender bolts 3 0f 4 left out) if installed properly. I didnt know the oil didnt meet Kubota specs until i had paid bill was goin to load tractor and the 3 pt was wrong and fender bolts missin. Of course by then no refund was coming to me. I agreed to generic fluid but assumed a franchised dealer would at least buy a approved aftermarket fluid. Not these guys, approved for IHC ford new holland white massey cat etc but not Kubota. Seems like every cust. should be entitled to compensation. Off spec oil wont kill a tractor in 30 days but in 5 yrs I would had a L2350 with good eng, good sheet metal, good clutch and a burned out trans. Salvage piece worth about 500$. Didnt mean to write War and Peace. Dan

Dan im sorry your time here was not what you were expecting I think some people jumped the gun before knowing the whole story. Maybe if u explained a little better people would have understood what u were saying. Any how hope all goes good with ur tractor and u can get back to doing what u need to do. Best of luck.

You are kidding right??? Approved for all those manufactures but not Kubota! The shame, the shame.

You did say aftermarket fluids right???

And if you knew anything about fluids, you would know that they are selected/engineered by application, not manufacture.

Trash in the oil? Bugs???

Maybe they used fryer oil???

You story just keeps getting fishier every time you post.

IMO...(and I have administrated message boards since the dial-up BB days (years before the WWW) In this and related threads YOU are the "troll" (if there is one)...no animosity or anything personal...just my own observation...
