MF 1433v
My Massey was choking on gelled fuel. I finally got it running with heat on the fuel bowl and copious amounts of anti- gel additive. Idle was starting to smooth out. So I started to back the tractor out of the barn. Just cleared the doorway when she just died. Tried to restart and now nothing works- glow plug indicator, fuel pump, starter. Turning the ignition to start and nothing happens not even a click! No dash lights, nothing electrical appears to work.
Battery checked with voltmeter- 13.4 volts, all the fuses checked, all good. WTF!
Any ideas, suggestions?

Weird. The two issued shouldn't have anything to do with each other. The only thing I can think of is maybe the concentrated heat could have damaged a wire or possibly a fusable link? I'd start checking from the battery back and see where you lose power. Check your grounds too. the weirdest stuff always seems to be a ground issue.

I always suspect a bad ground on the battery cables when nothing electric at all will work.

Thanks for the reply. Further investigation revealed corroded positive side cable plus battery was on it's last legs. Cleaned cable connection and jumped battery and tractor came to life. On my way to get a new battery.

Was gonna say, you have a bad connection or battery with open circuit under load or bad cell.
