My Bostitch brad nailer self destructed this morning so ran to HF to pick up a cheap nailer to get by with till I can get parts for the Bostitch. Well.... went in to spend $30.00 and came out an hour and a half later and spent almost $300.00. Man I hate that store.....

Every time I go to our local HF, I'm like a kid in a candy store....

I have the same problem with the Wal-Nuts superstore. I can go in for a loaf of bread and end up dropping a couple of hundred. Glad we don't have a HF store around here!

PS: what did you get?

Bought several small things to round out the shop and for a couple of projects. Air hose reel, Air filter, Air fittings, Chain, 24" cresent wrench, Welding magnets. Of course the Brad nailer and brads plus some other small stuff.

Nailer works well, might not even fix the Bostitich. The HF came with a complete rebuild kit plus a spare driver. Hard to beat for the price.

Could have easily spent a couple hundred more /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I've had Harbor Freight nearby for years...
I would really like to have a Northern Tool retail store in this area, but then again, it's probably a good thing that there isn't one. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I'm with you Andy, a Northern Tool store close by would probably delay my retirement age by about 10 years. We have a store that is locally owned called the Tool Barn, they have everything just like Harbor Freight but usually a higher quality.

I have the same problem, go in for one thing and come out with 10 -
"But I needed them, hon. No really!"

Tool alert !!!

Don't get the blue air dryer/filter thingy. I did, and it is junk, won't seal, one elbow was cracked, no seals on cannister bolts, etc...

One of the few things I have gotten at HF that I felt was just junk.
After working on it 6 times and using sealer, it will now hold air.
