Wasn't impressed by what was available online or in stores .. so collected scrap and proceeded to build this.. 16" wide by 22" long
Flukes from galvanized Angle and anchor pivot 3/16" ..
Used a 1/2" rebar ground down for rod.
And 1.5" by .5" thick adjustable handle from an old plow for the shank.
Haven't weighed it yet but probably 10-15lbs..
Coat of primer on mild steel and bedliner . sanded and etched galvanized and just coated with bedliner ..

Nice ! Many boaters don't know this, but on our Great Lakes, having many rocky areas, we tie the end of the line ('rope') at the base of the anchor teeth, and then use a weaker line to attach it on top root. If the anchor gets stuck in rocks usually because of high waves, when you pull VERY hard or the boat wants to go windward, the top rope breaks and the anchor head is easily freed.

Yeah I have a hole drilled in it for that .. if look at the side view you'll see it... Don't plan on losing this one anytime soon.. mostly will be used in the intercoastal waterway and beaches of Georgia

Depending on the size and windage of you boat and the wave action, 10 - 15 pounds won't hold much. You might want to add 6 to 10 pounds of chain between the anchor rode and you anchor.
