i have a D1650 and the fuel filter plastic bowl has cracked and i can't seem to find a replacement. could i replace the fuel filter assembly with something else, maybe a metal inline filter with a shut off valve? thanks:thumbsup:

I wouldn't see why not. Make sure the replacement is intended for diesel fuel and has a way to bleed air if necessary.

You might want to check with your local Cub Cadet dealer for a cross-referenced part. Mine used a Cub 7193 filter bowl. Cost was less than $5.
