local dealers state suspension seat a dealer installed option only on the d at around $900. Anyone else heard differently??? If was from the factory it would probably be 1/3 that.

Dealer told me if ordered from parts dept., it maybe that expensive because you are buying a whole new seat. He thought if ordered with a new machine it was about $250 because you are not buying a whole new seat, just the bottom suspension. He did not know the actual price.

Yikes! That is a lot of change for another seat which includes a lot more parts than you need.

Don't call the factory, they'll just tell you to call the dealer. The factory doesn't like dealing direct with us. That's why they claim they have dealers. It is not a factory option. Dealer installed only. Check with another dealer in your area.

Do call the factory. I talked to them often. They knew I was just a customer, but were as helpful as could be.
