Anyone have one of these torches? Marketed under Lincoln Electric and made by Harris, it seems a good unit for the price. While looking over the package, I did not see where it was Chinese made?

For around the farm use, it looks better and is priced lower than what TSC, HF sell. Definately less than the Victor knock off one of my local welding supply shops sell.

Interesting. Id bet there Chinese. Looks like a "Price point" product, to be sold at the big box stores. Could be wrong though.

I did notice that the product carries no UL , CSA or ETL rating, so you might want to take that into consideration as to its quality or place of manufacture.

Like alot of things you get what you pay for.

Thanks for pointing that out. I will look over the package real good next time I get into Lowe's.

You can similarly priced Radnor products (also by Harris) from Airgas for the same price. I would prefer to buy from Airgas, myself.

I ended up buying a Smith from the company where I got my tanks from. Everything under one roof, less running around.

I should have bought an outfit years ago but I always got by without one. While using a friends haywagon recently, I found the frame bent and was not sure if I had done it or not. He had just bought a bunch of wagons so he was not sure either.

Anyway, I picked up the torch today and got the wagon all fixed up.

Youll be happy with the smiths. they make nice gear.

I agree, Smith makes good torchs, guaranteed for a lifetime. Now they are owned by the same company that makes Miller welders - Illinois Tool Works. This completes their product line and I am a shareholder. :D

I bought one of those from Lowes at half price. It appeared as if someone has popped the plastic and stolen the cutting tip out of the two packages they had in stock. They marked it as such and chopped the price in half. I found the missing part online for about 5$.
I haven't used mine as I need to acquire some tanks. Anyway,,,,,mine has Poland stamped in the torch mixer and cutting body. I can't find China anywhere on the rig,,,not saying it ain't there but...
