I have some large pieces of sandstones on my property,I was wondering if they could be cut into smaller pieces with a gas powered concrete saw like the ones Stihl sells ?? If so...how fast would a concrete saw cut through them ? Anyone have any experience with doing something like this ?

Thanks

My Stihl cuts the sandstone just fine. It cuts faster than concrete but is more abrasive on the blade. So make sure you're using diamond blades and water.

In fact this week I'll be seeing what's hidden inside some sandstone boulders. You never really know until you peek. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Harv,
How much would one of the Stihl Saws cost ??? I was thinking about cutting down some bigger boulders and making some small square cut stones for decorative work....I wonder what kind of a price to put on them.....

Thanks
