very nice. I could use one, but I have a backhoe on the back
of my tractor, and I typically pull trailers by hooking the safety chains onto the backhoe. What I really need is a way to put a ball mount onto the backhoe, but something that could be removed when digging a trench. Anyone have any ideas??

I was planning on doing that and even did similar to you but I actually attached a ball to a chain that I wrapped around the BH bucket ... worked ok. After following a TBN thread about drilling a hole thru the cutting edge on the FEL for a ball, I abandoned the BH idea. I could not have imagined how well the FEL mounted ball works. I push the trailers now so I don't have to drive backwards ... works really good!

Mikec, I borrowed an idea from TBN that works great for me. I bought a 12' receiver bar from Northern tool, cut it at an angle and welded it to the top of my FEL bucket. I just take the ball hookup off of my truck insert it into the receiver tilt my bucket fully forward and hook up my trailer. Having it on the front is also a lot easier to maneuver.

hey casco1, I like that idea, but I'm confused about the angle the hitch would be at when the bucket is rolled forward. Do you have a picture you could upload?
