I am in the market for a new mower, mostly to cut my 1 acre lot and to tow a utility trailer on occasion....I have been looking into the 1042 and comparing it with some JD models...any thoughts? I amm looking to spend around 2000 with a bag attachment.... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

For mowing and (very) light trailer duty in that price range, the CC 1042 will be fine for you. You may be able to catch a CC 2042 off season with a bagger for close to $2500. That is a heavier machine that will handle heavy trailering, rough terrain, etc.
