Cub cadet log splitter
My splitter has about 60 hours on it and started to drip fluid from the part of the control valve that looks like the old 35 mm film canister. There are two Allen head screws that look like I can access it. Any suggestions what to expect when I loosen them? Is there an opportunity to replace a gasket, that is faulty?
Thanks for the comments.

Pics would be nice but sounds like a reseal job is needed (more than likely standard orings)

Be carefull if the valve has auto return or pressure detent

Yes it does have an auto return but I would be doing this with no pressure on the line, what do I need to be careful of?

Just be carefull when you take it apart. ya don't want to lose any pieces/washers/balls/springs.....

Put it back together clean, clean, clean........a can of carb spray (or similar) will help

Well you probably don't want to hear this but many of us work equipment that weeps or drips lube. I'd just keep an eye on it...if it get steadily worse then I'd deal with it.
