My National Guard unit got activated last fall and I got to go over to the desert for 6 months. They had a brandee new one over there. We painted it "desert camo." It was assigned to two of us in an electronics shop. We would argue over whose turn it was to drive. I think we got one of the very first. It went over sand dunes like nobody's business.

From the <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.cubcadet.com/servlet/BrandProduct?ID=17&CAT=21>Cub Cadet Website</A>. It has a healthy $8599 price tag too.

I like the part where it states that it's easy to "take down hallways and into elevators"

BTW, IT HAS A HONDA MOTOR. The JD Gator has a Kawasaki (or did last time I looked). Cub is cheaper. Last time I priced out a gator they were close to 10 bills!!!

We've sold a couple of them and our customer really seem to like them. We priced them out at $7,999 with the turf or knobby tires and $8,299 with the HD tires. They have 6 wheel independent coil-over-shock suspension, #80 drive chain, diff-lock, class 1 receiver, 12 volt outlet and much more. Our customer like the roomier operator area over the Gator. And our sale price is quite a bit less than a similarly equipped Gator. - Tim Alderman - Alderman's Inc. - Lennon, Michigan (810) 621-4201

I've had a Cub Cadet Big Country since last spring. I am very impressed by it. The quality of work is excellent. I have the optional Class I receiver on the front also. The electric dump option and the 1100# bed payload is quite nice. If you driven the others, you owe it to your self to try the Cub as the ride, and strength will probably suprise you.

I have priced a new gas gator 6x4 at $6699 and diesel at $8299. Don't seem to have anyone with cub cadets coming close to those prices.

The Cub Big Country does not have a diesel option. It uses a 20hp V Twin Honda. the Honda runs smooth and starts right up even when cold.
