I would like to find some lower cost filters for my Cub Cadet 7200 compact tractor.

CC MA-118112303000 Filter, Oil
CC MA-10300511200 Element-Air Cleaner
CC MA-31A40-02100 Filter-Engine Oil
IH 1273082C1 Filter 234-254 Fuel

Just purchased a 2002 7360 that only had 50 hours on it. Went to purchase filter and had sticker shock, the 31A40-02100 was over $15.00, with no cheaper cross. pull old filter it was numbered MD134953 which does have a cross to Fram PH6607.

This has been discussed a couple of times in the last two years. Unfortunately, we have not been able to cross the Cub filters to other mfgrs. I don't know if it's Cub or Mitsubishi that's rapeing us. One or two folks have found filters that are the same size as the Cub filters. But I'm not willing to risk my investment to save a few bucks on filters based on size. I'd want to know that things like filtration specs and bypass pressure are the same. So I pay the price. Joe, just wait till you go to replace the hydraulic filter (or worse yet, rip it off the bottom of your machine /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif ) as that one goes for about $85. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

I bought a Cub Cadet air filter for a 7260 2 years ago. I remember it being $60+. I can hardly imagine what they must cost now... /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

My Cub Cadet parts book lists the engine oil filter for the 7200 and 7205 as MD134953. This is a common Mitsu filter used on a number of road vehicles. The street price is in the $7.60 range. Retail is something over $10. Just call your local Mitsu dealer car dealer and give them the number. Or order it online from any number odf Mitsu dealers.
