I have an opportunity to purchase a new cub cadet 2180 for $1300 from Lowes. The transmission release to manually push the tractor is slugggish and has been adjusted as much as possible to correct this problem & still sluggish. Unit has 1 year warranty. Any recommenations?

That is a very good deal for a 2180. That is about half of what it went for new. Are their any hours on the unit? I would not sweat the trans bypass lever at all. If anything it's likely an easy fix + you still have warranty on it!

Is this a 2004 model? which size deck does it have? I think that unit sold for more like $3000 new. That is a major bargoon.

That is a very good deal! I would run back and buy it before someone else does!

I have a 2004 brochure and it shows to have an 18hp B&S Vangaurd and a 42" deck. If I remember correctly, they sold for $2699 new. 4 hours is new! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
