Cub Cadet 147 Engine swap question.

Okay I am want to put a recoil start engine in this tractor. I will lose my front PTO. But can I regain it by making a modification the the front of the engine.
Thinking about a Honda or Honda clone. I want something with self contained ignition system and no starter. Simple simple simple. Thanks

Did you consider the rotation for the hydro pump?

well i look at the flywheel side and both engines have the same rotation.
so i shouldnt have a problem. I have a 9hp and 11hp honda gx series i am thinking about using.

Not really, doesn't have to have lights or charging system
