cub cadet 1450

I really like cub cadet and own two older models. I have a 120 and 1450, which I have restored both of them and I'm looking to possible sell them. The 1450 was running great then this year decided to not start. I put a new battery on it and tried checking the wiring, but I'm not a mecanhic so don't know what else to look for??? Any help with that???

My grand kids like to sit on my mowers (including a Cub Cadet 1641) and turn every knob and push every level they can (I always remove the key and an adult is standing by while they make believe mow). Anyway they occasionally flip the toggle switch to engage the PTO and then the tractor won't start. My 1641 also has a blade fuse located by the battery - you don't say if it's turning over and won't start or not turning over so just guessing.

I don't knwo where you ended up on this. But, if it's not too late. Check the points. I usueally have to replace mine every few years. Not too tough but you'll want a timeing light to make it work right.

have you checked to see if the engine sparks? if it doesn't you could have something wrong with the points or the coil. or it could be a case of that the carburetor isn't letting gas go in correctly into the engine. did you have the 1450 sitting for a long period of time without emptying the carb?
