Cub Cadet 1050 electric clutch problems

The electric clutch operates for a few minutes then shuts off. Test light indicates power is still going to clutch???

If it has the operator present seat safety switch, and/or the mow in reverse switch, either of those two could turn the clutch off.

Mine was doing that. Wound up wiring it directly to the battery with a switch. Temporarily for trouble shooting of course. Works great, which makes me think it was the relay.

It has both the reverse switch and the operator seat safety switch.

Maybe one of those switches or associated wires is flakey, or the relay mentioned above. Both switches are designed to disengage the blade clutch, so it's very possible they could cause the problem.

You could try Riding Mower, Lawn Tractor, Zero Turn Mower for info, although I don't recall seeing a wiring diagram on there, I never looked for one either. Never had a problem in that area--yet.

My 1050 did that. Never could figure out what was going on. Finally wound up giving the top of the deck a good cleaning--all around the pulleys and belts and such. Problem solved. Still don't know what the trouble actually was.
