I have been considering selling my 1996 Cub put in service in 1997. Machinerylink.com says premium value is $10,154. Are these values dependable? One dealer offered me $6000 and another $5000. It has 240 hours and is a "cream puff". Only cut grass with it for 7 years.

I don't think you would have to much trouble getting it sold for the money they suggested. But in there lot it would probably have a price around 10 on it.

I have seen the values from Machinery Link, its always been way way high. I don't know where they get their information. My paperback blue books say 5500-6000. I think your dealers are probably about right.

typical of what the dealer would offer, but MUCH less than what it is actually worth. Try to sell it out right. You will get a couple K more! Good luck! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Thank you for the encouragement. I believe I will probably sell the Cub by word of mouth the best. People who know me will be more willing to pay higher because they know the tractor has been kept in a barn with a cover on it and only used about 35 hours a year to cut grass. Your profile says you and your family know a lot about of tractors, with so many. Thanks again.

Thank you for comparing the two prices. There has to be something missing for such a difference in the two sources.
With cars there is always the NADA and the dealers blue or black price guide with regional adjustments etc. I guess anything with four wheel will be the same. Thanks.

I tried to send you a note this morning saying thanks for the information and response. This dialog is new to me and I am having a time trying to fingure out when I sent something, when I posted something, or who am I? Thanks, again.

Just out of curiousity, how come you want to get rid of it? The old Mitsu's are built like a tank!

I have a bad knee and am looking to buy a zero turn mower to try and eliminate some of the weed eating and push mower work. My wife gets to use the Cub. I think though I might just buy a used zero and hold on to the Cub for now and make sure the zero does what we need. I would send you a picuture of the Cub but don't how to on the discussion program. It is indeed a sharp tractor. Thanks for asking.

I just bought a CUB RZT22 with a 50in deck and used it today. I mowed the lawn in less than half the time it takes with my tractor and mowing around trees and lawn fixtures is a breeze. Best of all I was going to pay cash but the dealer told me CUB has 0 down 0% for 24 months for the month of July so I decided to use their money. Try one out you will like it. It sure is nice with all that leg room. Good luck on whatever you decide.
