I've got a line on a Cub 2521 for $875. It's had it's original Kohler replaced with a Briggs Vanguard 21HP Twin. It includes a 48" deck, and the tractor registers about 500 hrs.
Anyone have any info on these tractors? I'm going to be mowing 1/2-3/4 of an acre. I know it's probably overkill. I'm curious about the possibility of snowblowers, etc...and haven't found a lot of info for them. I'm thinking they would be shaft drive, but not sure. I've read some bad things about the newer Cubs and are somewhat leery because they are a MTD sub, but I'm looking for others experiences.
I missed out on a 782 last week that I really wish I would've gotten, but you win some, you lose some. I'm somewhat torn between wanting the older tougher stuff and something newer with the adjustable seats, etc etc.
