Cruse control on HST

Does anyone use it? When & why? On by CK25 it does not work, that is it gradually slows down and stops.

I don't have the HST but I remember a post awhile back of someone having the same issue on a 25/30 and it came to getting under the "dash" and tightening the nut(s) on the control lever to put more "tension" on the lever so as not to allow it to back off on it's own when engaged (same as the throttle control on the gear drive). I had to back mine off on my gear drive, which was a pain in the butt to get to! Hope this helps ya.

I rarely use mine, but when I do it is great. My sister has a house 1 mile down the road (paved) and when she needs work done, like fixing a washed out driveway, I put it in 2wd and high, set the rpms at 2800 and set the cruise at full pedal. It really takes the strain off the ankle. I like it but could live without it.

Haven't used mine yet but am just waiting for a neighbor's call "Rex, can you drive over and (FillInTheBlank) for me?" Then I'll get some use from it.

If it is set at too low of pedal travel it won't hold.
It can also be adjusted.

way off the subject here bti but i was noticing that you were formerly known as kiohio,i had my wife set up this account when i was at work and as you can see my username is my whole email account, would like to change it to something alot shorter but dont know how.

Same here - from day one it just slows down when engaged,(CK30HST). I adjusted it and that helped, but still not right. I don't really miss it.

When I mow, it's mid range and pedal mashed all the way. I just hold the pedal to the floor and am quite used to it now.
