Cruise control upgrade

I just installed the JD cruise control upgrade on my 3520 and can not get it to work. I followed the directions to the letter. What am I doing wrong?

Press up on the left most switch, depress the pedal to the desired speed, press down on the second switch. Try that.

Also watch the diagnostic indicator when attempting to set the cruise; it may be flashing a code. On my 4310 if the brake pedals are not locked together the right brake sags and doesn't allow the cruise to engage. Trying to set the cruise only results in a flashing light on the fender.

Thanks for the suggestions. I disconnected & reconnected the battery and was then able to enter the correct codes and get it programed.
