Obviously they did not read the recent thread about chains vs straps. They used chains on a static load... That's what happens...

I knowed something was wrong.

Nothing really went wrong... the trailer did exactly what it should have done, with that load. Probably save someone from a VERY serious accident, by preventing the clueless owner/operator of that truck, from driving out on the road.

A lot of people don't realize how deceivingly heavy logs can be. YouTube crane accidents and watch how many of them happen when removing tree's.

There's a video somewhere of a guy felling a butt log onto a trailer or truck bed. It obviously didn't go as planned.

That log would make about 50 really nice tables!

What is truly amazing is the utter destruction of the trailer. Tires popped, axles bent, frame disintegrated, and floor collapsed. If it had working lights, that would be all you could salvage. Lucky for the owner he did not bother investing in them.

Never seen a 1 ton dual axle trailer....

So a 60" diameter 10' long piece of hickory would be 13K pounds according to the googles, oak would be 17k.

Wonder how they loaded that?
