Creeper Gearing for John Deere 5325 (5025 series)

Has anyone installed a creeper gear on the 5025 series Deere? I have a 5325 with the 24 by 24 transmission and need lower gearing for running a transplanter. Does anyone know how difficult it is to install this lower gearing?

The dealer gave me a quote of 900 dollars not installed. Does this sound reasonable? Anyone have experience with this sort of component?

That price sounds about right. I was checking into it on Deere's site awhile back. There are two creeper kits available for our tractors. One is the standard kit and one is geared a bit higher. The ground speeds are on page 55-15 of your Operator's Guide. Ask about the PTO speeds before you do it. I remember reading something about losing the 1000 capability if you have 540/1000 and made a mental note to make sure I wouldn't lose my 540e. I'm not sure what you've got...
