In regards to my first question about creek gravel would a john deere 790 fit the bill. I don't recall the horse power of these tractors. But I think I can get one pretty cheap if I want it. It has 54 hours on it now.

I think that unit has about 30 hp, and it should be enough to do the job, just make sure you use the 4wd.

I was wondering if anyone has used there tractor to dam up a creek. I also would like to do some stream clearing too. I need to build a gently sloped ramp down to the creek first thought.
