Oscar and I go down to the pond just about every day. Some friends came over to go fishing and where doing OK catching bass, but nothing over two pounds. Their kids where having more fun running up and down the dam, and playing with Oscar.

KIDS LOVE OSCAR!!!

Tell me about it Eddie. We had a 4.5 inch downpour over 6 hours last night. Raised the pond level over 3 feet. By the looks of the overflow runoff, it was major overflow. Thank you Lord. Just wished I had that second pond dug down stream.

Can I come lay a runoff pipeline from Willis to Sunset? I'd LOVE to get a 4.5" downpour.

That's amazing. Don't you have a culvert pipe in there for your pond overflow? How did it handle all that water?

I have several different routes for water to travel to get to my pond, with one of them going through an 18 inch culvert from my back pasture. As I get more grass growing, I get more runoff. That last 2 1/2 inch rain was more then the 18 inch pipe could handle and it was backed up several dozen yards. It never crossed the road, so I think I'm fine, but I sure wouldn't want a smaller pipe!!!!

Eddie,
The 15 inch overflow culvert worked great. I saw a lot of debris down stream from the culvert that told me a lot of water came through.
