I removed being end of season at Yellowstone and woke up to snow… the trouper said time to leave unless you want to stay through the winter in the RV snowed in…

Had a quick rain storm blow through here today. 1.75" of rain in less than an hour. By now, total for the day is 2 inches. A little quarter inch hail in there also. My son in Steamboat Springs, CO said they could really use the rain. Going to be a bad fire season out west. Jon

Still snowing tonight in the Colorado high country. We've had almost no snow or moisture since October, and now two days of wet warm snow in mid May.

Forecast highs in the '90s for a wide swath of NEPA through New England, which seems early.

Yes, this looks as if this year's fire season will be a tough one.
