Believe me, your email address isn't the key they use, I have the same item listed in three areas nearby and accidentally listed it 3 times in the same one using different locales when i hit the wrong button. They never blinked. When I tried to list the exact same worded ad or verysimilar they blocked me. It appears the headline or some combo is the key.

I have 4 email addresses. That allows me to post in 4 different areas. CL keys in on your address. Also, if you use searchtempest.com you can tailor your search to the distance you want.

You have a clear understanding of the systems, their limitations, and how to work around them. Cool. You are well-equipped to do what you need. You are also "the exception".

Most folks aren't aware of the different ways CL and other sites restrict and limit their functions, so that have no idea they're missing out on stuff. And, almost always, it's also these folks that will fall prey to scams. I think it's great that we have this forum and at least a few others that I belong to where people can post up "Reasonable or SCAM?" threads about things they find. It brings a much larger audience in to give feedback.
