I'd let it go..
Or employee with a VOIP/dialin line which calls out through the main office...Remote employee visiting the home office for a few days?
I also use Whitepages.com, free to tell where it is from and if its a cell. REALLY surprised the guy I bought my last car from when he gave me his work landline number and I knew where he worked.as stated, if it is a cell phone a person is using, it could be completly across country from where the number is listed,
I make it a practice when receiving inquiries and having left a tel# for me to call, to first find out where the number is from before calling, it can be easily done by using the Whitepages.com ( reverse number search ) sometimes I get luckey and it will even provide a name, if Both the number and name match up with the information provided in an inquiry I'll feel it is lagit and will reply, Many times I'll say something like I see your tell number comes up as a New York etc etc,, usually they'll say yeah! they got their cell phone service from while living in New York etc, etc, and never bother to change it to a local service after moving here,
Have Google voice call your real phone and then call him, eliminate wifi as a possible problem while still hiding your real phone number...Understood, but he CALLED from a verifiable landline in LA.
I have tried calling him three times now and the call simply will not connect. I think it's due to my wifi being silly though and I'm surely not calling him on my real phone number.
Haha. Maybe. I always carry.
Whatever anyone does, NEVER, I repeat, NEVER call back a number with an 876 area code. It isa US area code but it is for Jamaca. It is a scam going around . The return call can cost up to $1500. a min. Since it a legit call that you make the phone co. won't remove the charge without a legal battle.
Would you get charged if you used a cell phone?
Sent from my GT-P3113 using TractorByNet
with only a Nation wide plan.... I'd think Yes!
Wikipedia reports those two area codes are right next to each other in California.Well turns out he sounds kind of legit. He is in CA. That's all I'll say for now, until the deal goes through or turns out to be a scam.

Maybe Clarence will post in this thread to validate his claim...
I've found a few scams on Craigslist and usually flag them. I can't stand someone to post the same thing twenty or thirty times and change maybe one word so Cl dupe checker doesn't spot it. Sold two cars, cameras. A pet peeve of mine is when I'm selling something really cheap and they want me to meet them 40 miles away. I bought my 135 off CL. It's a great service, but one needs to keep his wits about them when doing bussiness.
I was selling a stove top for $20 as it was in great condition but nothing I needed. Had people ask but the only serious taker lived an hour away and wanted me to deliver it for $5. So it is still taking up space at my place but I will find a home for it someday. Maybe install it in the new barn or hunting tower and be able to easily and safely heat water and food.

You did good. Usually on CL it is a lowball offer and can you deliver.I sold a Queen bed and mattress and box spring once for $150 and the guy threw in another $50 if I would deliver 25 miles away.. Why, of course I can![]()
