Craigslist Flakes

I never have any problems when I list kids ( baby goats guys, not children) for sale,

:laughing::laughing: I have to admit so many things went through my mind when I read it.
Thanks for the laugh

I actually do alot on craigslist. Only hate it when people don't get back to you. I almost always text or call the person with in 5 min. Although most people say call mostly but I prefer if they text me. I know what a scammer looks like abs always tell then cash and come to get it. They never reply

CL is a better place to buy from than to sell from in my opinion.

I'd just roll the cost of utilities(plus a little extra) into the rent and put "includes utilities!". People are dumb sometimes.
Utilities will cost way more when you are paying for them. They will heat it as warm as they like and cool it as cold as they like. The only time they will turn off the lights is when they go to bed. I have some renters who pay their own utilities. For the first month or so apparently she was scared and left all of the outside lights on. At 1200 watts each this cost quite a bit. After the first electric bill came she turned them off. If I was paying the few that didn't burn out would still be on.

I don't use CL too often, but I've had reasonably good luck using the site.
I don't worry about low ball offers...sometimes I low ball offer myself (people selling things in the New England area have, IMHO, unrealistic prices on used equipment).

That is true here in Sacramento too.

I keep a bunch of stuff on CL (we are still consolidating, post-retirement) and sell several hundred dollars worth every month. The flakes, low ballers, scammers etc don't bother me. Anytime you are dealing with the general public, have to expect some nuisance behavior. CL gives free access to a market that stretches from the Bay Area to Reno on I80, and from Modesto to Chico on I5. Hard to beat and worth some aggravation.

I've had pretty good luck with CraigsList, both selling and buying. I only sell things I really want to get rid of and put a good price on and I only buy things that are advertised at a reasonable price.

I have had good luck with CL. Some strange offers but all good interaction with the buyers.
I sold a telescope worth $2,000. The guy says he only has $200 and asked if I would take that. Then he offered a 1984 Jet Ski that looked wrecked and need a pump for trade. :confused2: (no trailer for the jet ski either)

Yeah... I always post no trades, no scams, no BS. Cash only. Now I only get the constant parade of no-shows....:irked:
