Sorry to here this. You will need to find a local Titon Dealer for Warranty. Mahindra and the deal will not able to help. We are lucky becouse N. Gateway tire in Medina Ohio is a Titon Dealer and they take great care of us plus they are less then 3 mile from my Dealership

Titan has a one year warranty on their tires. I have been waiting to see if anyone else has had issues with Titan tires.

I am currently on my 4th set of front tires.

Don't be too surprised if the tire dealer asks you to pay for the new set of tires. Most dealers don't want to have their money tied up for 8 to 16 months while Titan processes the warranty claim. No I didn't stutter folks. I have been to 4 dealers trying to get the latest set of tires warrantied and that was what I got out of all four dealers. I have yet to get more than 25 hours out of a set of front tires.

As far as Mahindra goes. They are hands off. They WILL NOT HELP ONE BIT. They will send you a copy of your warranty that says to deal with the tire manufacturer though. I have asked Mahindra to just give Titan a push to maybe get the warranty processed a little quicker. Again I was refered to the warranty I agreed to when I bought my tractor. So now I have two new tires on my credit card waiting for the warranty to be processed.

How to Read a Tire Date Stamp | eHow.com

A couple of links related to tire age. Just because your tractor in new doesn't mean the tires are. Check the date of manufacture to see if you really have old tires. Old "new" tires have caused deaths in automobiles & trucks. You may find some litigation that you can use for leverage in getting your tires replaced. MikeD74T

First set came with tractor in 2007 man date 2007, second set replaced in 2007 man. date 2007. Third set replace in 2008 man. date 2008. I believe Titan has other issues going on.

Having to deal with a Titan tire dealer does not seem right ,I bought the tires from a Mahindra dealer.

But the warranty is from Titan. It's the same no matter what tractor brand you would have bought. This practice is not unique to Mahindra.

Titan R4 tires on my 2005 3510 are worn down pretty good but no cracking yet. Tractor is usually stored indoors when we aren't using it. I think keeping it out of the sun and weather helps.

I don't get it then. Size is different from mine but 10 months old and stored indoors? Those Titan R4 tires should be like brand new. Please post a few photos of the cracks.

Like I said Mahindra's position is READ YOUR WARRANTY.

As far as the cracks go. Pictures would be great so we can see what you are dealing with. One other thing you haven't used Armor All or any product like that on the tires.

That will take a set of tires and make the side walls look like the tires are 10 years old in a matter of months. It will look like weather cracking on the side walls.

The other thing is that you only have 2 months left on the Titan warranty so I suggest you get to the nearest tire dealer and start the process. In my experience (done this 4 times now) it takes time. Don't be surprised if the tires for your tractor are out of stock. It may take several weeks to get replacements in. One more thing when you get the warrantied tires GET A RECIEPT. If you have problems again Titan will want a reciept to prove that the tires are less than a year old. As far as this time goes your tractor reciept will work.

The tires should have a code number as to when they were manufactured....owning the tractor for 10 months, but tires could be much older. you need to find this out. 1 year warranty should be from date of tractor purchase, not mfg.ed date. Pictures are a must. My NH TC48DA has Titan tires, stored inside, almost 4 years old. No cracks.

High exposure to sunlight, ozone or smog.

RV Owners have had the problem of cracks appearing in there tires for years. The following is from Goodyear addressing cracks in RV tires.

Goodyear:

Weather cracking is common in RV tires from all manufacturers.

Appears as crazing and or cracking in the flex area of the sidewall
Probable causes of sidewall weathering
*Long periods of inactivity or storage
*Direct exposure to air and sunlight
*Exposure to high levels of ozone (smog, electrical generators)
*Excessive washing or dressing using alcohol or petroleum based cleaners

When should the tire be replaced?

Cracks > 2/32" deep
Internal components of tire (steel or fabric body plies) are visible

Of course we all know we are not having an air quality, ozone or smog problem today.
