Cover equipment outside?

I built this one and then added to it. In a full arm cast. I had to go the tarp route until they removed it. BTDT!!! Recent pic, I built it in 2001-2.

For 25 years I have kept all the implements outside uncovered, except the chipper which is in the garage. The tractor is covered but with ventilation.

If you get a tent type carport, which is a good idea, make sure it can handle your snow and wind load. Have seen many flattened ones in my travels around here.

About the same as what I do. Summer I park in tree shaded area out of the sun.
I am told re: tent carports it is the snow that builds up against the sides more than the roof that takes them down.

My stuffs been out almost 6 years. I guess there might be a little extra surface rust on unpainted metals, but otherwise no issues. One day I'll have a nice shop to hide it in, but I'm not sweating it. You are sort of screwed this winter and spring anyways, just get some touch up paint and a wire brush for summer if you are worried. Then hopefully you can save up and at least have a roof over them next winter if not the barn back.
